Homosexuality and Lust
Good morning, afternoon, and evening to all my readers! I hope everyone is doing well. There are a few things on my mind I’d like to share with my readers, but I’ll narrow it down to just one idea for now. I would like to talk about lust, which can get people into a lot of trouble.
I know this is a little off topic, but there is this movie called “Se7en” and it’s about the seven deadly sins. One of the seven deadly sins in the movie is lust. I’m not going to go into detail about the movie, but I will say it’s a very good film starring Brad Pitt, so if you haven’t seen the movie yet, then go watch it! Heterosexual people seem to think the gay/ lesbian community lust after one another and that there is no true love involved, but in this movie lust is something a heterosexual man struggles with. I don’t know why, but Christians seems to think lust only exist in the gay community.
Whenever someone points scripture out to me, they always talk about lust and how homosexuality is all about lust. I don’t think heterosexual people think there are committed and non promiscuous gay couples in this world. Why does it seem so impossible for other people to grasp the concept that homosexual couples can truly be in love with one another?
Christians will respond to; that question by saying, “Because the bible teaches against homosexuality”, so because the bible says homosexuality is wrong, then it’s impossible for homosexuals to truly be in love with one another? Ok I will give them that to work with, but what about the other things the bible teaches against? The bible talks about not eating certain kinds of meat such as, pork and shell fish, but people eat those things everyday. Are those people who eat pork and shellfish an abomination to God too?
Another point Christians bring up, is that the bible says homosexual acts are unnatural. The homosexual acts are unnatural to whom? To someone who is heterosexual? I don’t feel as though my love and affection I share with a woman that I love is unnatural. In fact it’s very natural to me. Giving love and affection to a man is unnatural for me to do. I guess that concept is a tough pill for people to swallow.
I’m just simply pointing out that gay/lesbian people are not a bunch of promiscuous heathens lusting after one another. Homosexuals lead healthy fruitful lives.

it is true that a lot of heteros think that we are truly lustful beings. in part, that may be true-but we dont own the patent on lust. heteros can be mighty lustful. how many men cheat on their wives (and the reverse)? why is there such a high divorce rate? gee, could it be lust? i think that may be a large part of it. i think that if you look at the percentage rates of divorce (or splitting up) you will find that the rates are the same for homosexuals and heterosexuals. there is a lot of lust happening in both camps, it’s not just us. hope to see you at the pet blessing at joy mcc!!

Lust is just human nature it doesn’t have to be Christians verse Homo’s hell look at the animals there has to be a whole lot of lust going on there. You always hear about get your animal fixed. To bad we couldn’t have the same done with some humans.
Isn’t it only a sin to act on lust? Come on doesn’t it make your day when some hot thing winks at you or tells you that you have sexy eyes? Makes your heart skip a beat or blood pressure go up, that makes for a happy heart. And at the end of the day isn’t all that humans truly want is to be happy?
Then there are those times when you thank GOD that it was only lust that you had for a person cuz they turned out to be “not the one”.
Do you think that alcohol is a lust enhancer? How many times have you thought you seen the person of you dreams to wake up the next day saying what in the world was I looking at?
If we shy away from lust cuz of sin then what happens if that were the one true love you were meant to be with?
