Homosexuality, The Bible, and Science
I want to discuss a sensitive topic, so here it goes. Homosexual activity is not appropriate in the eyes of conservatives mostly because of what the bible says and they probably feel; it’s not normal. My research has raised a few questions. For one, homosexual acts are not in the Ten Commandments and secondly scientists have found homosexual behavior in animals, which tells us mating with the same sex, can be natural.
I may do a continuation of this post depending on how many more points I’d like to bring up, but let’s focus on a couple of points. I think we all know what the Ten Commandments are, but I’ll list them anyway;
• You shall have no other gods before Me,
• You shall not make for yourself a carved image–any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.’
• You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain
• Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
• Honor your father and your mother.’
• You shall not murder.
• You shall not commit adultery.
• You shall not steal
• You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
• You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.’
If you didn’t know what the Ten Commandments were, now you do. There isn’t anything in here that says you should not be a homosexual. Some of us have broken one or more of these Ten Commandments already. I know I have. I’m not excusing bad behavior, but admitting I broke one or more of the Ten Commandments let’s you know I’m not perfect and neither is anyone else in this world.
I think the Ten Commandments are guidelines given to us by God to live a prosperous and fruitful life. I don’t think being gay / lesbian hinders ourselves or anyone else around us, therefore I believe that’s why God didn’t put thou shall not be homosexual in the Ten Commandments. I would like to share another piece of information that came up in my research.
Scientist have done studies on penguins and found homosexual behavior. Supposedly scientist found two male penguins that were inseparable for six years. The two penguins have sex and the scientist brought female penguins into the mix and the male penguins wanted nothing to do with the females and visa versa. At one point in the research, the scientist found the two male penguins desperate to incubate and egg, so the penguins put a rock in a nest and sat on it, keeping it warm in the folds of their abdomen.
The chief keeper gave the male penguins a fertile egg to hatch and they successfully raised the tango for two and a half years. Penguins aren’t the only animals that have displayed homosexual behavior, but this goes to show that homosexuality isn’t a choice; it can be a result of natural forces that are uncontrollable.
I highly recommend that you do your own research and decide for yourself if there is any truth in what I’ve said. I have stated before that I do not have a major in Theology and I am just giving you my thoughts and opinions. Turn off the tape that keeps replaying in your mind of what society has said for years and start thinking about things logically.

hello ashley!! this is your brother in law. i love your website and i want you to keep up the good work. i know for a fact that homosexuality is NOT a choice. i speak from experience. i have never known anything different. take good care of my sister, and dont be too harsh with earnest(kookoonut), he is my little sweatheart and is only doing his job!

Hello, and God bless you all. I know sometimes we look at science, and everything in our existence is based on hypothesis, experiments and facts. But the bible says that God is a God of truth, not of facts. Facts does not set one free, but it is truth that sets you free. Therefore, one can understand why so many are bound by the spirit of homosexuality. I am not writing to judge anyone, but that you may judge yourself according to the truth of the Word of God.
Romans 1:23-28,32
And [they] changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
24 and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error.
25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
You see my brother and sister, homosexuality and lesbianism is not only in the bible, but in the ten commandments as well. Verse 23 says that when you do these things, you change the glory of an uncorruptible God into an image, made like man or animals. Therefore, you have broken commandment number 2.
I pray you today, do not justify your choices with scripture. The bible is very clear at the end of the book of Revelations when it says to add nothing to it or take anything away from it. Lest all the curses written in the bible shall come upon you.
“I love you with the love of God.”
